That being said, not all vinyls are created the same and some fair better in efforts to go green than do others. If eco-friendly material is something that matters to you, check out these two options: printable paper and PVC-free films. Solvent-printable paper is obviously biodegradable. We sell a wide range of Sihl’s products. With PVC-free vinyls, most films are made of polypropylene. Polypropylene will break down in 20-30 years, compared to 400-500 years for PVC. While polypropylene is still slow to degrade, it’s an option that may get you closer to your goals.
